Founded in 1882 at St. Mary’s Church in New Haven, Connecticut by Father Michael J. McGivney, the Knights of Columbus have provided countless hours of service to the Church and those in need. An equally important part of the mission of the Knights of Columbus includes providing a source of fellowship and common brotherhood for Catholic men to support each other on the path to holiness through regular prayer and devotion. Knights and their families are also offered monetary assistance via the Knights of Columbus Insurance program, a program which is consistently ranked one of the most ethical and affordable in the world.
The mission of the Knights is, and always has been, to foster a common unity amongst Catholic men in the daily struggle for holiness and success as gentlemen, husbands, and fathers in a culture which is increasingly counter to Catholic ideals.
The University of Kansas Knights of Columbus are a member of the College Council program and seek to continue the mission of the Knights on campuses around the United States. KU Council #10204 is growing steadily and is always ready to welcome new members to our ranks.
